For it is written in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 – “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. In such times we must be prepared and ready to rightfully divide the word of truth and stand when all that is left to stand!

Hello, I am Alphonza Gilchrist, Deacon of Freedom in Christ Ministry. I was born in Colorado Springs Colorado on February 2nd, 1987. Being in a military family, I moved to a number of different states but eventually found home in Fayetteville NC. It was there where I was raised attending Cumberland County Schools until eventually graduating from South View High School in 2005. I attended three different colleges before obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Human Resource Management at Colorado Technical University.
I accepted Jesus Christ in my twenties and have been living and learning ever since. In addition to being a deacon, I also participate in praise and worship as the bass player. I am a believer in the Word of God and what it declares about those that trust in Him. It is important to me that everyone knows about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and that we can all come together regardless of race, age, or denomination to do the work of the Father. Our youth is the future, and it is up to us to set the right example and lead them into their destiny.
A few fun facts about myself are I am a husband to Shante Gilchrist, a father of three, an author, and designer. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching sports, and trips to the mountains. A good book will grab my attention every now and then, but to be able to encourage someone in Christ and in life makes my day.
